The idea of community as an interactive gathering zone was key in this concept. These interactive light pillars respond to the masses, becoming brighter as more people congregate around them.

The Beacon was a sculpture project selected for exhibition in the SOFA 2013 exhibition in Chicago. The work was featured in the IIT Architecture exhibit within SOFA Connect.
